Crossover Thrash / Hardcore
It might not be such a good idea to call your kids ‘Dirty Rotten Imbeciles’, when they make too much noise in the garage. Because they might actually like the moniker and make a living out of it for more than 40 (yep!) years. We already booked these guys in the Zenith Club in Dendermonde, but Oilsjt was always our real destination, from day one. Few bands embody the spirit of Rock ‘n Load better than these gents. Original hardcore, with the punk roots intact and a good dose of thrash vibes make a great soup. Their eponymous ‘Crossover’ record from 1987 became synonymous with a genre. We didn’t coin the phrase Crossover Fest for no reason on our Oilsjt Omploft posters. And listening close to their song ‘Gun Control’ will ring a familiar bell. But crucial is, not missing this date with musical history lads and lassies.
